Serving Lunch at Carpenter's Place May 4th
The club will be providing and serving lunch on Thursday,
May 4th at Carpenter’s Place. Located at 1149 Railroad Ave,
Rockford, Carpenter’s Place provides the tools necessary for rebuilding the
lives of the homeless. Inspired by Christ’s compassion, Carpenter’s Place
offers direction with accountability to people with broken lives, helping them
find peace with God, themselves, and their communities. Carpenter’s Place
has become recognized as an innovative leader in the development of effective
methods for addressing the core life issues of the chronically homeless.
The organization brings together the most appropriate opportunities for
genuine, reconstructive help, not just handouts. It relies on its
outstanding staff and community volunteers. We need about 4-5 volunteers
from noon – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4th to help prepare and
serve the food. To volunteer or for more information, please contact Matt
Branom at mbranom@boonecountyshopper.com
or (773) 859-0034.
