Kathy Heisel
Kathy is a new board member for the Rockord Area Illini Club, having been elected to the board in August. Kathy is a 1972 graduate from the University of Illinois, with her BA in Speech Communication, and later earned her MA in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University. She currently works as the Adult Education Literacy Coordinator at Rock Valley College, coordinating a GED program at the Resource Intervention Center for clients on probation. Kathy says that her most memorable club experiences so far are the tour of the Prairie Street Brewery and listening to The Other Guys, and is looking forward to giving back to the UI and the Rockford community through her involvement on the board. While on campus, Kathy used to enjoy the delicious Italian beef sandwiches at Treno's as well as being with friends at football and basketball games.
